2 weeks to go (pardon me while I go vomit)
Swim: 2 workouts, 1hr 46min, 4200m
Bike: 3 workouts, 5hr 14min, Saturday ride - 46miles (elev. gain 663 ft.)
Run: 4 workouts, 3hr, 28min, 18.03miles
Strength: 2 workouts, 30min
Total: 10h 58min
Challenges:
Mental challenges galore this past week. It's all getting very, very real. In less than two weeks, for better or worse, one way or another, this will all be finished. So, you know, oh my gosh.
Accomplishments:
Um...rode my bike from my house for the first time ever? Yep, it's true: in the three years that I've been doing tri and cycle events, I've never once started a bike ride at my house. I've always driven to another starting location. So on Saturday, kBell and I met at my house for our ride. It was nice.
Surprises:
The water temperature in Coeur d'Alene, which had been steadily rising a couple degrees per week, took a sudden dip a few days ago; it is currently sitting at 52.5 degrees. Surprise. Oh, you guys. That is so, so cold. Praying hard that it will make a miraculous, intense change for the better over the next 13 days. If it doesn't, I will be rocking a newly purchased neoprene swim cap and booties with my wetsuit. Sigh.
Bonus:
Had a brain MRI tonight to rule out anything sinister related to my recent facial numbness; it was an interesting experience. Kind of like taking a cozy little nap while someone blasts really terrible techno music and car alarms all around your head. Not entirely unpleasant, really.
