Absolution
One week, I repeat, ONE WEEK left of this semester. It's up for debate what is going to do me in first: the boat load of art projects I have to finish by Monday, or the utterly amazing amount of studying I have to do for my tests Tuesday and Wednesday. Anyone care to venture a guess?
But, there is one saving grace from all this madness...dogs. I love dogs! My friends Alissa, Emily, and Kathy all have them and I swear, they are three of the cutest dogs to walk the face of this earth. Emily has a pointer/basset hound mix named Moby. He's all floppy ears and puppy energy. Kathy has a doberman named Destiny who is seriously the most affectionate, lovey dog I've ever come across. This giant horse of a dog will be laying next to you with her head in your lap 2.7 seconds after you sit down. And finally, Alissa has a golden retriever named Molly, my favorite of them all. Molly is bouncy, and friendly, and - here's the one that really gets me - loves me to pieces. Every time I go to Alissa's place, Molly goes nuts when I walk in the door and won't leave my side for a good five minutes after I get there. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the love.
Here's a little weather update, just to make all you mid-westerners jealous. The past two days have been sunny and beautiful with temperatures around 75 degrees. I was walking to the studio today and the thought "huh, I'm a little hot" actually went through my mind. The upside of this weather is obvious: it's not cold. The downside however: it doesn't seem like Christmas in the least. However, I am choosing to enjoy the balmy temperatures for as long as I can because I know the minute I walk off that plane in Omaha next Thursday, I'm going to be wishing myself back to the warm southern climate.
