Currently Playing: Something Corporate

North

My entries are getting few and far between - just goes to show how crazy busy the end of the semester can be. I was in Canada last weekend. Toronto is a really cool city, so we definitely had a good time. Turns out the canadian customs people aren't so focused, though. The guy asked me why I came to Canada and I replied "for a school trip." He then proceeded to talk to his buddy for a good couple of minutes, turned back to me and said "wait, you came to Canada for a school trip or you are going to the US for a school trip?" I re-stated that I had come to Canada for a school trip. He gave me the dead stare and asked "Were you deliberately trying to confuse me?" Um, yeah - you totally caught me. I snuck across the border so I could buy Canadian tourist paraphernalia and now I'm trying to get back across the border - to my home country, as is clearly stated on my passport that you are holding - without getting caught. I wouldn't want the T-shirt that I bought for $4 in Chinatown to be confiscated by customs. Sheesh.

Classes are really busy right now. We are in the thick of Neuroanatomy and it just keeps piling up. I have a big exam on Monday, plus three art projects that need to be finished within the next week and a half. It's enough to drive a girl crazy.

But, on the brighter side of things, I did buy my plane tickets for my next trip. My class will be heading to sunny California in July for the annual Association of Medical Illustrators conference. They are holding the event right outside of LA, so it should be a lot of fun. However, that would be the fifth plane ticket I have had to purchase this semester and my meager student loans are begging for mercy.
