Tuneage

what I'm listening to these days...

Alexi Murdoch - a Scottish singer with beautiful, spare songs. Similar to Nick Drake. Listen to him on rainy days.

Amy Winehouse - Is she all kinds of crazy? Yes. Is she an amazing, soulful singer? Yes. Listen to her when you're feeling a wee bit kickass.

David Bazan - Live at the Grey Eagle. Listen to him when you're reading Bea's post about this album.

Feist - 1 2 3 4, Feist is who you're looking for. A beautiful voice with a laid-back sort of sound. Listen to her when you're wandering the park on a spring day.

Ingrid Michaelson - Such quirky little songs this girl writes. She's a little Regina Spektor-ish, but less so (if you know what I mean). Listen to her when you're feeling daydreamy and/or eating cotton candy.

Margot and the Nuclear So and So's - I think I stumbled across this band on Thister's page (thanks, yo!) They're a little bit Decemberists with maybe a touch of The Shins around the ankles. Listen to them when you're feeling introspective or a bit blue and wallow-y.

The Shaky Hands - I think I've mentioned these guys before, but I'm going to shake things up and do it again. I got their self-titled album about a month ago and it still catches me off guard how good it is. Listen to them when you're road tripping or doing anything that could be described as "frolicking."

Enjoy!
