A couple friends, the htd and I headed off last Saturday for a whirlwind weekend o' traveling hijinks. We visited Seattle and Vancouver on our 3-day trip and had a really great time. I'll hash it out in detail soon (read: as soon as I can finagle some pictures out of my sister. My camera battery died after exactly 2 photos.).
For now, I leave you with this two-part observation:
a) Vancouver is the freakin' shizz. I love it there.
b) The downtown area looks like some sort of futuristic, movie-set kind of city. Like before you know it, Keanu Reeves is going to go flying by in a long black trench coat and deliver some poorly acted lines. Like Will Smith is going to have to start beating down some robot revolutions. Like any minute George and his boy Elroy are going to come zipping past in their little individual space-mobiles. Like...well...you get it. Here's a picture I found. Hopefully Haley has some better ones.
