So tonight I made dinner for all of my classmates and it turned out very well, if I do say so myself. To quote my marvelous cousin Cassie "I've been getting my Betty Crocker on" these last couple of days. Although, it's been a bit more Martha Stewart than Betty Crocker I've been channeling (minus the attitude).
Tonight's menu included:
Parmesan Chicken
Oh-so-good mashed potatoes (recipe: Cathy Kahle)
A vegetable medley with oil, vinegar, and italian seasonings
Homemade egg dinner rolls (mmm) (recipe: Aunt Jeanette)
Sumptuous apple pie made entirely from scratch
Yellow Tail merlot
Various beverages
Thankfully it all turned out very well - the picture to the left was taken in between the main meal time and dessert (thus the reason for the lone piece of chicken and the untouched apple pie). A note: this picture was taken with my new digital camera which I am enjoying thoroughly. It arrived at 4:30 this afternoon which made it necessary to take numerous pictures during the evening. Not all of them are exciting (case in point: this picture). So. There you go.
