So I've had lots of things on my mind lately. And maybe Someone is trying to get me to stop focusing on all this other stuff and focus on more important things...like my own two feet. I sprained my other ankle on Friday night. Safe in my own home I sprained my only remaining fully-functioning ankle. To spare the shreds of my remaining dignity, I will not go into the details of the event. Suffice it to say I spent most of Saturday morning with a bag of frozen corn wrapped around my left ankle. The bag of corn has been replaced with a ghetto ankle brace, while my right ankle is slowly returning to a semi-normal size.
I helped babysit at church on Saturday night - it turned out to be lots of fun. I think God took pity on me and my gimpy ankles and blessed me with only smiley and/or sleepy babies to watch. Afterwards, we cleaned up the church, ate some pizza, and went to a movie. Dippin' Dots were also involved. Good times.
