Interventions & Lullabies
Such a great surprise! My fabulous friend Jerilyn flew in to Atlanta yesterday, rented a car, and surprised me at my apartment here in Augusta - I had no clue she was coming! I was just sitting on the couch eating chicken nuggets, and there she was. So last night I drove her around Augusta and showed her the "sights." We also made a quick jaunt to South Carolina so she could add that to her list of states she's been to. Had a great supper at the one and only Pizza Joint (best pizza ever) and came back here and watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Great ceremony, but does anyone else think the Athens Olympic flame looks like a giant flaming cigarette? I myself prefer the giant flaming bowl shaped Olympic flames, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, a bunch of my classmates are taking me (and now Jerilyn, too) to Athens, Georgia tonight (where the University of Georgia is) to celebrate my 22nd birthday, which is tomorrow. Should be fun!
And happy 28th anniversary to my wonderful parents!
