So here I am at school a full hour and a half before my Tuesday classes start. "But why," you ask, "why this madness? Why shouldst thou have to be in ye olde illustration studio at 7:30am?" The answer is simple: Parking. Unless I hit the perimeter parking lot at 7:30 on the dot, there will be absolutely no place to park within walking distance of campus. With the insane combination of 8:00am classes for every student on campus and parking construction going on that has closed down nearly half of the original lots, the number of available spaces is admittedly few. Thus I am here, and you - ah yes, you are afforded the joy of another xanga posting from me.
I saw the movie Top Gun for the first time last night. I do realize that I am about a decade and a half behind the rest of the population in my viewing schedule, so you can save your exclamations of surprise that I had, up until 8:00 last night, never seen the movie Top Gun. I must admit that in true 80's movie fashion, it was extremely cheesy, but nonetheless entertaining. When Goose was taken into the Wild Blue Yonder, I was empathetic towards Maverick. Would he fly again without his faithful wingman? And when he overcame the odds and saved Iceman from what could have been a firey death, well I was just awash with tears... Ok, so maybe I'm lying, but still, it was a good movie.
Today I start my first Medical Illustration classes. I'm looking forward to learning more illustration techniques, but I'm not looking forward to adding the extra work on top of Anatomy. I hope everyone who's starting classes around this time has a great first week!
