I just had the best Labor Day weekend to date. Three of my classmates, two of their friends, and I all went beach camping on Hunting Island just of the coast of South Carolina - and it was SO much fun! The picture to the left is Mike, me, Alissa and her dog Molly, and Emily and her dog Moby sitting on some toppled over palm trees on the beach. Our tent was about 50 feet from the ocean - definitely a change from the regular inland camping that I'm used to!
Right now we are getting a bunch of rain thanks to wonderful Hurricane Frances. Florida has really been getting pounded in the last few weeks and we've been getting quite a bit of rain as a result. My backyard looks very much like a lake. I'm contemplating investing in a small watercraft along the lines of a dinghy or an inflatable raft to make the trip from my door to the mailbox a little less wet. The good part to all this rain is the fact that my car is clean for the first time in almost 3 months.
